सुप्रसिद्ध ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार, वाचकप्रिय ब्लॉगर व लेखक भाऊ तोरसेकर यांचा जन्म ९ फेब्रुवारी १९४८ रोजी झाला.
भाऊ तोरसेकर यांचे पूर्ण नाव गणेश वसंत तोरसेकर होय. भाऊ तोरसेकर हे सुप्रसिद्ध ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार, वाचकप्रिय ब्लॉगर व लेखक असून स्थानिक राजकारणापासून ते आंतरराष्ट्रीय घडामोडींवर सडेतोड भाष्य करण्यात त्यांची हातोटी आहे.
भाऊ तोरसेकर यांनी १९६९ मध्ये आचार्य अत्रे यांच्या दैनिक मराठा येथून पत्रकारितेच्या कारकीर्दीला सुरुवात केली. भाऊ तोरसेकर यांनी साप्ताहिक भूपुत्र, ब्लिट्झ (मराठी), सकाळ (मुंबई) मधून पत्रकारीता केली. १९८५ ते १९८९ या काळात शिवसेनेचे मुखपत्र मार्मिक या साप्ताहिकातून कार्यकारी संपादक म्हणून काम पाहिले. त्यानंतर विवेक, चित्रलेखा यांसारख्या सप्ताहिकांमध्ये त्यांनी काम केले.
जागता पहारा या नावाचा त्यांचा एक ब्लॉग आहे. तसेच त्यांचं ‘ प्रतिपक्ष ‘ नावाचे यूट्यूब चॅनेल आहे. भाऊंच्या ‘जागता पहारा’ या ब्लॉगवर ७५ लाखाहून अधिक वाचक आहेत.
